Tricycles' Overseas Expansion: From Quantity Growth to Quality Enhancement, with Customization as the Core Competitiveness China's tricycle exports are undergoing a transformation from "product selling" to "product manufacturing". Enterprises are no longer merely exporting domestic models overseas but are developing differentiated products tailored to specific markets: for instance, models equipped with reinforced chassis and easily maintainable structures to cope with Africa's high temperatures, dusty conditions, and poor road quality; vehicles with compact bodies, narrow cargo beds, and lifting capabilities designed for Southeast Asia's orchards with narrow tree spacing; and models with enhanced cargo space and endurance tailored to the preferences of users in certain Latin American markets, where agricultural goods transportation and small merchant operations are prevalent.

Zongshen emphasizes a customized development approach in overseas markets, prioritizing inquiries into customers' usage scenarios, methods, and problem-solving needs. This shift from "exporting products" to "manufacturing based on user demands" marks a pivotal step for China's Multipurpose Cargo Three Wheel Motorcycle exports in transitioning from low-price competition to value-based competition. Explosive Growth in Electric Tricycle Exports: From Online Sensation to Industrial Trend Since 2026, China's electric tricycle exports have witnessed explosive growth: from January to April, Xuzhou's electric tricycle exports reached RMB 168 million, representing an 87.2% year-on-year increase; from January to May, Fengxian County's self-operated exports amounted to RMB 390 million, up by 99.3% year on year; and Shandong exported 430,000 two- and three-wheeled electric vehicles in the first seven months, a 73.5% increase from the previous year. A video featuring an American blogger gifting his father-in-law a Chinese electric tricycle went viral online, with the warning beep "Reversing, please be cautious" becoming an overseas sensation.

However, beneath this surge lies an industry consensus: this is not a fleeting trend driven by online popularity but a testament to China's genuine competitiveness in the global short-distance travel market. Factors such as persistently high fuel costs in Europe and the United States, robust demand for short-distance transportation in Africa and Southeast Asia, and the promotion of electrification policies collectively underpin the sustained growth of electric tricycle exports.
